Etsy: The Biggest Craft Show, All on Your Computer

Etsy.com is the my new favorite place to shop for jewelry. i don't even know how to pronounce it, but Etsy has a variety of hand made crafts from jewelry and handbags to wooden engraved signs.

I would buy something from Etsy over a over publicized site such as Girl Props because you are helping out the little guy. Anyone can sell their good on Etsy; this means you wont find your necklace in the pages of this months Seventeen, but classmates will comment on your amazing style.

I have been searching for a unique ring that matches my personal style, sophisticated and simple. I quickly found a few rings that captured my interest.

this one is made of shrinky dinks, this is so original and really creative.

$8 here

This ring is so pure and simple, but is easy to wear, and casual, because of its imperfect qualities.
$20 here

This ring caught my eye because i like the contrast of the pure sterling silver and the black onyx. the ring is perfect for a laid back outfit.

$8 here

This isn't a ring but it is really cute. It has such an authentic vintage feel, its like you just got it out of your grandma's jewelry box.

Spring Fashion Trends Preview

All of the clothing stores are getting their shipments of spring clothes. It is inevitable that I will buy clothes before April comes around and I can actually wear them. In order to save money this season, my goal this season is to only buy key pieces I decide to purchase ahead of time. This way I won't blow all of my precious savings on things I don't really like that much. Here is my spring shopping list of my must buys for this season's trends.

Light Wash Destroyed Boyfriend Jeans, Rolled up of Course

Gladiator Sandals

Floral Pieces

Neon Accents

Nollie
Pac Sun $16

About Bringing you Sunshine: Q and A

q & a
(question and answer)

q: so what are you doing, a blog about fashion with beauty, fitness and more, isn't that a little vain for a "Christian?"

a: God gave me a passion for fashion and i enjoy helping others look their best. What American isn't at least a little in to all of the above? The key is balance: balancing time spent shopping (online too) and the money blown on clothing and accessories.

q: How are you going to convert me through clothing?

a: The goal of this site is to give a different spin on the whole fashion industry, and just the challenges of being a teen in this crazy society. There are plenty of sites with immodest pictures of anorexic models; what would be the point of another one?

q: Where is the Christian Dior and Christian Lacroix?

a: While there will occasionally be these designers on the sight, thats not the type of christian fashion i am getting at.

q: I like the concept of Christian Fashion, how do I subscribe to get more suneshine?

a: You can subscribe via rss and get emails, add me as a favorite, check out my polyvore, share this site with your friends on facebook, or do anything from the box below.

Happy New Year(ish)!

New Year in Times Square

Its officially 2009. Another year has passed by. Time is such a funny thing it goes so slowly when you are young-or doing something boring- and it flies by when you get older. That makes me wonder how well I used my time and what I really accomplished last year?

I didn't have a 4.0, I wasn't homecoming queen, I didn't save a life, I didnt make the all state state team. ok, I guess not many people did but did I change someone's life? did I make someone's day brighter? Did I comfort someone when they needed it the most? Its these types of little things that add up to making the year great.

Instead of the usual eat healthy and loose weight, which would also be nice, my resolution is to give more hugs. Hugs are so simple but they can mean so much. Its just a way to say to someone that they are valuable. They can comfort, congratulate, and cheer someone up.

About Me

a little about me-

im a girl in the suburbs. jesus keeps me going. i have no idea what my future holds. i have trouble planing it, everything seams so final with college and a career and all. which reminds me of the stress i have with school and SAT and scholarships and sports. oh and somewhere in all that i try to have a life and be a nor
mal teen.

i know relationships are the most important thing while im alive but i cant help but be distracted by pointless tasks.
i also know money is meaningless-you cant take it with you- but the desire to be ritch and have a land rover and the louie bag is always there.
i know i should always do my best, but i sometimes feel guilty being better than others, like i am too proud.

Sephora's Beauty Blockbuster

Ultimate Blockbuster - Collector's Edition

I bought this amazing collection of Sephora makeup; i am so happy i did. It has every color you could want. It is perfect for playing with your look and trying bold trends without spending tons of money on colors you will only use a few times.

Ill start with the eyeshadow. There are some cream eye shadows which i wasn't excited about until i realized how perfect they are as eyeliner. The powders are great, but i would recommend layering them to last longer.

The lip gloss has great color but is somewhat dry, its best in combination with lip balm or gloss. The other down side is it does not last much longer than an hour and a half.

The face powders (blushes) come in a variety of colors. they are great for highlighting your your contours with the mixture of light and dark shades.

The lip liner and eye liners are better than i expected them to be, but what was i thinking this is sephora. The only thing is the eyeliner did smear more easily than i like, it is good for a smokey eye though.
